I’m so excited to finally reveal Baby Boy Wilson’s Nursery! We have been working on it for months, and I am so excited with how it turned out.
It was really hard for me to think about our little guy’s nursery till we knew his gender. The moment we knew we were having a little boy, I couldn’t wait to start planning his sweet nursery. I was torn between doing a safari theme or an aviation theme. Justin loves planes, and we love to travel, so the aviation theme seemed fitting. I thought about doing a big map & planes in his nursery, but when we went to Restoration Hardware, I fell in LOVE with the sweet safari theme.
I still love the planes and maps for him, but I think it’s something that may be more suited for when he is a little older, and has hopefully traveled with us lots! Something about the animals is just so sweet and innocent to me. We also love animals, and Reynolds was a big fan of the theme as well!
I wanted to keep the palette of the nursery neutral with the colors really coming from the artwork and accessories. Restoration Hardware has so many options for cribs, furniture and bedding, but I really like how the one we picked is timeless, and can grow with him into his toddler bed (it actually converts – something I learned through this whole process). Once we knew the theme, it was easy to go to town on picking out all of the fun accessories: bedding, artwork, pillows, etc. The plush animal heads above his crib are my favorite detail. The majority of his nursery is from Restoration Hardware, with a few pieces from Pottery Barn Kids as well.
We hope that all of the little animals in his room will make him feel happy & loved at all times. It was really my goal to create a warm and inspiring room for him.
Something that has come up, and that I’ve received questions on, is the bumper in his crib. It is recommended that infants do not have bumpers in their cribs. So, we will not be using the bumper for the first several months. However, I put it in there for purposes of these pictures.
Please reach out to me with any questions on the best places to shop for nursery related items, and ideas for coming up with themes, etc. I love that kind of stuff!
Now we’re just waiting on our little guy to get here! Two weeks to go! I want to give a special thank you to Shelby from Shelby Rae Photography. She is simply amazing & truly made this room come to life. These last photos of us as a family of three will always be so special to me!

Such a sweet room! Love it all! What paint color did you use?! We’ve been looking for the perfect light grayish/cream color and this might be it! 🙂
Hey Kristi!
Thank you so much – I’m so glad you like it! We used Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. It’s actually throughout our entire house, and we love it. Hope this helps 🙂

I’m looking for curtains just like these for my baby boy’s nursery! Do you have them linked anywhere?
Hi Elena!
I think we chatted on Instagram, but they are now under Nursery as well on the blog. Thanks for reaching out :).
Hi! Where is the white ottoman from? Hey i like how it’s flatter and not so tall!
Thank you! It’s from Restoration Hardware. I did link a similar one I found under the Family and then Nursery tab on here. Thank you!
