Does anyone else find the transition from winter to spring or summer to fall difficult? We are so in between in temps & colors that it’s often times hard to plan an outfit. Not to mention, I’m just so ready for it to be spring & to be able to wear summer dresses again!
This past Saturday we ventured over to West Midtown to check out a new local burger spot called Bocado with some friends of ours. It was delicious – casual vibe with great craft cocktails and of course burgers!
Finding a cute & casual outfit to wear was another story. We are in the low 60’s for highs & 30’s at night for lows. However, I found this super fun & flirty top from Tuckernuck. It also comes in white & blush – under $100. I paired it with white jeans & a fun multicolor pom-pom clutch, also from Tuckernuck. For another pop of color, I added turquoise birds of paradise earrings from there as well. Not too springy, but also a step outside of my typical winter attire. Lastly, I opted to finally wear some sandals. Mine are Stuart Weitzman, but Steve Madden has an identical pair. They come in tons of colors & the heel is a great height for day to night, or just something more casual. My toes were just freezing after dinner & I couldn’t wait to get in the car!
If you aren’t familiar with Tuckernuck, or Tnuck, they are one of my favorite shops! They were started back in 2012 by three friends that were frustrated with trying to find retailers that reflected their classic, but modern lifestyle. They would hunt for unique home brands, gifts and clothes in small boutiques, but wanted something equivalent online that made shopping easy. They quit their day jobs in finance & retail and launched Tuckernuck together. Tuckernuck was named after a small island off of Nantucket, which is where they all spent their summers vacationing. They do have one location in Washington, DC that you can visit as well.
Over the past year and a half, Tnuck has become a go-to place for me to find unique dresses, tops, accessories (I’m OBSESSED with all of their earrings) and purses. I love that it’s not necessarily pieces that you would see from major retailers, and that they have a mix of price points. I’ve also found some great stuff for Justin. Now I just need to go visit Nantucket & discover the small island of Tuckernuck! If you haven’t visited their site, check them out!
